Xenornis

Ayer, domingo 27 de abril, a eso de las 8:50 am, caminando hacia el PNM para participar en la feria, paré en en el río Curundu, a la altura de la calle Juan Pablo II, para tomar fotos de la contaminación del río. Para mi sorpresa, mientras tomaba la foto vi un pajarito blanco saliendo del banco izq del río. Aproveché para tomarle fotos, muy difícil pues estaba sumamente activo. Te adjunto la foto del río y del Pied Water-Tyrant .

Crested Owl , parece ser el que se describe como light morph en la guía de Angehr & Dean, desconozco cual es la subespecie. Observado en el Pipeline Road como 100 mts después del segundo cuerpo de agua. Visto el 21 de abril de 2014. Pude tomarle fotos antes y durante un fuerte aguacero. Luego de varias horas volví al lugar y ya no estaba en el mismo sitio pero tengo un porcentaje alto de seguridad que oí su canto (no llamada) varias veces mas cerca de la entrada pero ya se había adentrado al bosque.

MacGillivray's Warbler and Ruby-throated Hummingbird seen at Raton Comunity (Comarca Gnabe) on January 18. I saw two other MacGillivray's at Volcan Lakes and Hotel Dos Rios on February 10 and 11. Bonaparte's Gull seen at Panama Viejo on February 10 and April 7 at Panama Viejo Mudflats. A big group of Violet-green Swallows (over 50) were seen at Volcan Lakes on February 10. They were flying really low close to the water, field marks were really evident with its unique rump and face pattern. Some individual were seen through the scopes. Melodious Blackbirds are around Hotel Dos Rios (Volcán) where two were seen on February 11. Crimson-bellied Woodpecker showed up around the ground of Sierra Llorona Lodge on April 6. I think this is the second report of this rare woodpecker close to The Panama Canal, the first report is from Pipeline Road. Next day was even better around the hotel grounds at Sierra Llorona, with a Crested Eagle perched on the top of a tree for more
